A VOYAGE TO THE NORTH POLE - THE ADVENTURE OF A LIFE TIME! Summer season

Few places on Earth can parallel the remoteness of the Far North. For those wanting to participate in a rare and amazing experience, a voyage to the North Pole would truly be the adventure of a life time. You won't find any land in this part of the world - the North Pole consists of a shifting pack of ice measuring 2-3 metres deep. Imagine the sheer power of an Ice-breaker as it breaks through the ancient Arctic Ice!

Cruising on the most powerful ice-breaker ever built allows you to experience the beauty, splendour and raw savagery of one of the last few remaining frontiers on earth. This nuclear-powered floating hotel will take you to a place where civilisation is totally absent!

This is more than just a job for the Captain and crew of this incredible vessel; it's their chance to share thier love of this great and mostly unexplored land. As a passenger you will receive excellent care and comfort and as you go up on deck and witness the sheer power of the ship you will be amazed by the views of the Arctic landscape.

On arrival in Helsinki you will be met by your driver and taken to your hotel. This evening, enjoy a dinner (with our compliments) at a local restaurant. The following morning your group will board a chartered plane for the short flight to Murmansk. There, you will board the Ice-breaker and begin your expedition to the 'top of the world'.

While sailing north you will have the opportunity to learn about the ship and its amazing capabilities - you will also have a tour of the engine room. Weather permitting, you will also experience a breathtaking Arctic helicopter ride. On the 6th day, the vessel will reach the Geographic North Pole. Disembarking at 90 degrees north, your group will 'walk around the world' before enjoying a unique North Pole barbeque. A plunge into the Arctic Ocean is on offer for the adventurous!

Your adventure will also include an exploration of the Franz Josef Land Archipelago. Commonly known as the 'Moon Archipelago' these numerous islands are home to polar bears, walruses and many species or Arctic birds. Photo opportunities are endless!

On the way back from your North Pole voyage, take advantage of the ship's facilities (library, lounge and bar, volleyball, table tennis and fitness centre including pool and sauna). On arrival into Murmansk you will then return to Helsinki for the final night of this incredible adventure.

There are places on this planet that can only be fully appreciated by going there and seeing them for yourself. The North Pole is one of them.
