Just a few days to go now until the Historic Grand Prix in Monaco - Grand Tourist are heading over to the South of France on Thursday and we can't wait for an action-packed weekend of classic car racing and fasdcinating classic car auctions. We will be watching the race from the terrace of the Hotel de Paris - what a view. The cars will come whizzing through Casino Square and the atmosphere and view will be unbeatable.

We can probably take one or two more guests.

Escape to a hidden part of Europe this summer

As the sun starts to shine and the garden springs into life I start to think about summer holidays and discovering new and fascinating places in Italy, France and The Alps.

I especially like Lake Annecy in France - and the charming village of Talloire (home to the legendary Pere Bise Hotel and Michelin-starred restaurant). Here on the shores of the lake you can enjoy magical views, incredible food and a sense of peace that you just don't get in the city.

So instead of just dreaming - do it! Kayak the length of a river from source to sea, travel in a sea plane, witness the Pacific at sunrise! We live on an amazing planet, it's important to appreciate it and to enjoy every minute. So often we are preoccupied with our own mundane existences and we don't consider the beauty of our environment and the incredible landscapes that surround us.

Grand Prix Season swings into action

The Malaysian Grand Prix was an exciting event with rain falling during the race and then Ferrari, Sauber and McLaren in the final line up taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Bernie Ecclestone will be delighted - two races in and (so far) no win from Red Bull. Of course it's early days and anything could happen. So why not make this year the year to go to Monaco or Silverstone - we can offer exceptional race viewing, luxurious hotels and helicopter transfers in/out.

It's been a busy start to the year for Grand Tourist - trips to organise, clients to call. So far we've already confirmed several trips to Monaco Grand Prix, A birthday celebration in New York and a super luxury touring holiday in Europe.

It is just a year since the refurbishment of London's Savoy Hotel - and I have to say it is smarter, grander and better than ever.

There is even a Boodles Jewellery shop in the lobby.

For a little bit of luxury you can't get better than Boodles and The Savoy - I'm taking my daughter down to see the Musical 'Legally Blonde' as soon as she has a few days free.
