In the winter months Switzerland hosts the international Hot Air Ballooning Festival in Chateau d'Oex. This unique experience takes place in the world capital of hot air ballooning high in the apline hills where more than 80 balloons take to the sky from 15 different countries. This colourful spectacular is something to remember. Bright colours litter the skies above you contrasting with the clear blue sky of an Alpine winter. Do not let the weather put you off because the event is well worth a visit. Have your camera at the ready!
