Milan is the fashion capital of the world. Many of the most famous fashion houses are based here. Milan-based designers influence fashion on every continent. Whilst fashion design and retailing takes place in Milan much of the production takes place in small family-run workshops based in the region of Italy known as Le Marche.
Grand Tourist is proud to present a short break to Milan and Le Marche to really discover Italian fashions and the fashion business and of course offer the opportunity to make some purchases.
On arrival in Milan a waiting luxury vehicle and English speaking driver will be waiting to whisk you into the retail centre of Milan. Here you find the flagship stores of Gucci, Prada, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani and Versace – all within walking distances of one another – many located on the Via Montenapoleone. We can even organise visits based on your favourite designers.
Reservations for lunch & dinner at the best places in town are included – of course!!
Meanwhile, down in Le Marche on Italy’s Adriatic Coast it is time to visit the actual manufacturers! We’ll head off to the Tod’s Factory Outlet store (next to the Tods Factory), where you frequently see the ‘delle valle’ family helicopter on the grass outside the factory. Nearby is the Prada Outlet Store (again part of the factory producing Prada goods). These ‘outlets’ are genuine factory outlets (unlike those in England). Generally they are selling last season’s stock at really attractive prices. The Tod’s outlet in my opinion is a must.
Nearby there are outlets for Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Cerruti and Canali! The choice is yours!
