Alternative places to visit would include Capesthorne Hall; a distinctive Jacobean style house with magnificent hall and gardens, Beeston Castle; known as the formidable 'castle of the rock' - you can climb to the top of the crag and experience incredible views over the Pennines and Welsh mountains or Cholmondeley Castle; a romantic castle from the 19th century which stands high over a lake.
