ROME -

Rome is a beautiful city, elegant, sophisticated, historic. The city lies on both sides of the River Tiber. On the west side is the Vatican City and St Peter’s Basilica, whilst on the east bank is the Colisseum, Roman Forum and the Spanish Steps. Rome is a busy city, bustling, noisy and atmospheric.

The great thing about Rome is that you can walk everywhere (which is fortunate because taxis are like hens teeth). The buses are good though and depart from the main railway station. There is a metro (underground system), which is clean and easy to use.
