GASTRONOMY BREAK TO CORNWALL anytime

Cornwall is an iconic destination. From the dramatic coastline of the north to the sheltered bays of the south, this is a magical paradise of sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and wonderful fresh air. Stay at the eco-friendly Scarlet Hotel for a feast of pampering, luxury and pure relaxation.

Day One:
On arrival at Newquay airport (by private jet), you can either collect your hire car or Grand Tourist can arrange for a private car and driver for you. You will travel the short distance to Rock. After a stroll around the village, we recommend lunch overlooking the Camel Estuary in a traditional pub. After a laid back lunch, it is just a short drive to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon can be spent relaxing at the hotel and making use of the facilities which include amazing spa facilities, wonderful outdoor decks and direct access to a fabulous beach. Tonight, we can arrange dinner in the hotel restaurant if you wish.

Day Two:
Enjoy breakfast in your room or the terrace of the hotel restaurant. It is a short distance to Watergate Bay Beach. Here you can stretch your legs and take in the sea air, working up an appetite for lunch. Grand Tourist recommends lunch at Jamie Oliver's restaurant, Fifteen, situated right on Watergate Bay.

If you are feeling energetic after lunch, why not have a surfing lesson on the beach or a paddle in the sea? If you would rather stay on dry land, there is a fantastic aquarium in Newquay called "Blue Reef Aquarium" or it is only a short drive to Callestick ice-cream farm where you can meet the animals and sample some infamous Cornish ice-cream.

Grand Tourist would be happy to suggest restaurants for this evening.

Day Three:
Enjoy breakfast this morning at your leisure before visiting the Eden Project; an unforgettable experience in a breathtaking location. You will have probably of heard about the giant green houses (biomes) and the thousands of plants but there is also world famous architecture and art for you to browse at your own pace. If there is time, then a visit to the nearby Lost Gardens of Heligan would end the day before travelling back to the hotel.

This evening, we recommend dinner at Rick Stein's The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow.

Day Four:
Breakfast at leisure this morning before collecting a luxury hamper and taking a short stroll to Rock Beach - a perfect spot to enjoy the delights of your picnic! This afternoon, Grand Tourist can arrange a visit to the Camel Valley Vineyards. On the tour you will be shown both the vineyard and winery, seeing how the grapes are transformed into award winning wines and of course get to sample it at the end!

This evening, we recommend dinner at Nathan Outlaw's Seafood & Grill, overlooking the Camel Estuary.

Day Five:
After breakfast, why not experience the luxury pool and/or spa before your return flight home.
