A fabulous week 'under the Tuscan sun' learning Italian in the Italian countryside. Wonderful! A small group of intrepid Grand Tourists arrived in the Upper Arno Valley last Saturday and have almost completed a week of lessons with the lovely Marcello. Staying at the family-run Tre Baroni Hotel a warm welcome is assured. This afternoon we are off to La Vialla - an organic farm where we will tour the farm, enjoy lunch and learn a little more about the wonderful wines, cheeses, salamis and olive oils of Tuscany. Visiting Florence in the summer months is a magical experience. The Uffizi Gallery offers a magnificent range of paintings and the finest collection of work by artisit Botticelli in the world - including The Birth of Venus' and 'Primavera' (Springtime).
